ThanksGiving Days

For Me, Every Day Is... THANKSGIVING DAY

It wasn't always like this. Years ago, I was the same old bundle of complaints, grumbles and groans - just like millions of others. Things just weren't 'right'. Stuff always 'happened'to me. The other guy had it all - and I... nothing!

All that changed - fast. When I chose to specialize in pediatric heart surgery and started working closely with seriously ill children. Literally overnight, I realized how much I had to be grateful for.

* I'm older than 10 years - and still alive
* I'm healthy and active, can breathe easily
* I'm not facing life-threatening surgery soon

These are things I've taken for granted - until I saw little children who could not.
It's amazing how, when you start feeling thankful just for being alive and healthy, you suddenly feel a lot LESS grumpy about many other things - and see dozens you feel even more grateful about.

* Family
* Friends
* Daily necessities
* Occasional luxuries
* Lifestyle
* Security

There's so much more we often consider our 'RIGHT' - and are upset at perceived deprivations and violations. Yet there are people in the world who would give an arm and a leg to be where you are today.

Yes, No Matter What Situation You Are In, There's Always Someone, Somewhere Who Is Worse Off! So, for me, personally, EVERY day is 'Thanksgiving Day'. I wake up with a little prayer of thanks. I go to bed thinking about the day I've had, feeling thankful. That has completely changed my life, given me a sense of direction, purpose and happiness - and I urge you to reach out for it too. It's a nice feeling - and easy to achieve.

Just Say 'Thank You' When Something Happens! ... Anything

All success
